You can’t imagine

You can’t imagine

You can’t describe

The feeling of excitement, guilt, gratitude and pride

And being naughty , So rebellious!

We are on a plane

We are actually going

France on holiday!

And there is nothing wrong with him

A while more recovery from being so sick

From all the machines

All the operations ,

All the drugs,

All the care

But we are here,

together on a plane

Because of one persons gift

And lots of doctors, surgeons, nurses, HCAs,

Physios, nutritionists, radiographers, intensivists,

ward clarks, cleaners, porters, blood product donors,

All of them

They made this moment

You can’t imagine

You can’t describe

The feeling of excitement guilt, gratitude, love and pride

Sitting on a plane with the man I love

Going on an adventure

Editing images for the other blog.

Last year I tried to take a Photograph a day for a year.

I had been following some 365 day projects and tried to give it a go. It didn’t work…. I forgot, I was to busy, I got distracted etc. The best intentions of doing a fun project turned to stress of not completing something.

To resolve this I decided to keep going, posting when I can. And keep it is a piece of work in itself, a type of diary of places and things.

Today I had some time to edit a few images that will be coming up this week. Hope you choose to follow and enjoy!

This morning

This morning met and followed the lovely Elise at Florescence

How it happened: Just over two years ago she made the mothers of the bride and groom flowers for my wedding. She did an amazing job and we kept in contact. I little while ago I asked her if I could follow her around and photograph her, and today it finally happened! Here is a little taste of some of the gorgeous images from the flower markets and her workshop.

If you are getting married, or having an event, check out her website http://www.florescence.org

More images to follow! As always ©www.sophiemayer.com 2015

Accidental Abstract Inspiration

Accidental Abstract I.   Please check out this blog post for where this project started.

I have been inspired to blend my love of abstract with photography by editing image composition to create an abstract image.
